1. Who we are

Heute City is operated from Berlin, Germany. Contact: privacy@heute.city.

2. What data we collect

• Anonymous user ID (generated on first launch)
• Plans, favorites, and preferences you create
• Crash reports via Sentry (diagnostics only; no PII included)
• Device location (only when you use the "Near me" feature, never stored on our servers)

We do not collect usage analytics, advertising identifiers, or data used to track you across apps or websites.

3. How we use your data

Your data is used solely to provide the app's functionality: saving your day plans, showing nearby events, and improving app stability through crash reports. We do not sell data. We do not use data for advertising. We do not track you.

4. Where data is stored

Data is stored on Supabase infrastructure in the European Union. Local caches are stored on your device using MMKV.

5. Data retention

Anonymous accounts with no activity are automatically deleted after 30 days. Linked accounts are retained until you delete them.

6. Your rights (GDPR)

• Access your data
• Delete your account and all associated data (Profile > Delete account)
• Export your data (contact privacy@heute.city)
• Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

7. Crash reporting

We use Sentry for crash reporting only (diagnostics). All PII is stripped before transmission. Only your anonymous user ID, device type, and OS version are included. This is not used for advertising or tracking.

8. Third-party services

• Supabase (database, auth) — EU hosted
• Sentry (crash reporting / diagnostics) — PII scrubbed
• Apple Maps (map tiles, loaded on-device)

We do not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs. We do not request App Tracking Transparency permission because we do not track users.

9. Changes

We will update this policy as needed and notify users through the app.

10. Account deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time in the app: Profile > Delete account. This permanently removes your plans, favorites, and preferences. You can also email privacy@heute.city from the address linked to your account.
